Senior Purchasing Agent
The Senior Purchasing Agent will be responsible for supporting all tasks within the Purchasing department, including bidding, onboarding, and building relationships with trade partners, database management within BRIX and BRIX Sales, estimating and bidding out new plans and plan revisions, supporting the Construction, Sales, and Design teams, and assisting in the permitting and starts processes.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responsible for maintaining and supporting trade categories by effectively managing the cost data, optimizing vendor assignments, refining features and specifications, and managing Sales offerings in both internal and external platforms.
· Supporting company initiatives to improve processes, output, and customer experience.
· Continuous review of procedures and tools to ensure accuracy and compliance
· Rationalizing existing data for more efficient methods
· Complete various aspects of the new job start process to include preliminary budget review, building change orders, building design packets, permitting jobs, etc.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in the home building industry is preferred
· Strong computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel
· Detail-oriented and organized
· Ability to review and manage multiple forms of data
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong understanding of homebuilding software required (preferably BRIX).
· Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
